“My grandfather's bench is still in the corner. I cut my first pattern on it at fourteen — now I sign the pieces myself.” “Il banco di mio nonno è ancora nell'angolo. Ci ho tagliato il mio primo modello a quattordici anni — ora firmo io i pezzi.”
In 1958 Aldo Marrucci opened a small workshop in the Oltrarno, cutting belts and saddlebags from Tuscan hide. His son Marco kept the bench warm through the lean decades. Today Aldo's granddaughter Caterina cuts the patterns — same door, same tools, same stubborn honesty about how leather should be made. Nel 1958 Aldo Marrucci aprì una piccola bottega nell'Oltrarno, tagliando cinture e bisacce dal cuoio toscano. Suo figlio Marco tenne vivo il banco negli anni più magri. Oggi la nipote di Aldo, Caterina, taglia i modelli — stessa porta, stessi attrezzi, stessa testarda onestà su come si deve fare il cuoio.

Returns
- 14-day returns on in-stock pieces, unused and in original condition. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the item is faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalised commissions are non-returnable except for defects, in line with EU consumer law.
- Free re-stitch and edge repair for the life of anything we make — just bring or post it back.

Care guideGuida alla cura
- Apply a little neutral leather balm twice a year; let it absorb, then buff with a soft cloth.
- Keep vegetable-tanned leather out of prolonged rain and direct heat. If it gets wet, let it dry slowly at room temperature.
- Expect it to darken and develop a patina with your hands and your light — that is the leather working as intended, not a flaw.
- Re-stitch and edge repair are free for life. Post it to the bench or bring it by.
- Applica un po' di balsamo neutro due volte l'anno; lascialo assorbire e lucida con un panno morbido.
- Tieni il cuoio conciato al vegetale lontano da pioggia prolungata e calore diretto. Se si bagna, fallo asciugare lentamente a temperatura ambiente.
- Si scurirà e prenderà una patina con le tue mani e la tua luce — è il cuoio che lavora come deve, non un difetto.
- Ricucitura e riparazione bordi gratuite a vita. Spediscilo al banco o passa a trovarci.
