Classic Tasting
Five wines across our range, poured beside the barrels, with estate olive oil, pecorino and warm focaccia. The gentle introduction to the hill.

Book this tastingFour generations, one hillside, every bottle.
My great-grandfather Sandro planted the first Sangiovese on the Vararo hill the year the war ended. Four generations later we still farm the same nineteen hectares — clay-limestone slopes, a stone cellar dug into the hillside, and a south-facing amphitheatre of vines that catches the last Val d'Orcia sun.
We are small on purpose. We pick by hand, age in the cool of the old cantina, and bottle only what the year gives us. When you visit, you are not on a tour route — you are in our kitchen and our cellar, and the person pouring is usually named Vararo. That is the whole idea: terroir you can taste, hospitality you can feel, and a glass poured by the family that grew it.
Every tasting is led by a member of the family in the old stone cantina or out among the vines. Reserve online in under a minute — small deposit to confirm, instant email back, no waiting on a reply.

"The vertical with the winemaker was the best two hours of our Tuscany trip. We booked from the car the night before and walked into a glass already poured."
"Ordered a mixed 12 to Brussels — the shipping cost was clear before I paid and it arrived in three days, perfectly packed. This is how a small estate should sell online."
"No pretension, just a family, a hill and very good Sangiovese. The Long Lunch under the pergola is worth planning a whole day around."
